About the Author: A lost dog’s four-day ordeal inspired Elizabeth Macy to embark on an adventure of her own – writing a picture book! Author, photographer and entrepreneur, Elizabeth lives in her hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY. ‘Lucky’s Adventure in Saratoga’ is the first in the Lucky’s Adventures series, followed by ‘Lucky’s Adventure in WinterWonderland’ and ‘Lucky’s Adventure in the Great Outdoors’. All 3 books capture the author’s passion for her fur baby and rescue pets. Kids will learn life lessons through Lucky’s eyes- making new friends, accepting others, and the importance of community, kindness, gratitude, and teamwork. Elizabeth’s adventure is well underway, and she is thoroughly enjoying writing heartwarming adventures for children to experience and treasure. Lucky joins Elizabeth on in person school visits. Kids love to meet the star of the books. (Lucky will sit in her stroller during reading/presentation.) Presentations include a reading and Q&A, a talk about the inspiration for the series and the process of writing a picture book as well as a discussion of themes in the books.
