Children in our community face serious health challenges every day of the year, with many coming to the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med for the best medical treatment. At Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, we work around the clock to ensure that these children and their families are fully supported, so they can remain focused on getting better.

Through our core programs, we offer access to quality health care with a family-centered approach. We help families stay close to each other, near the care they need, and we bring resources directly to children and families where they need them most. All of our services — from meals and overnight accommodations at the Ronald McDonald House to the magic of a stay at the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat — are provided completely free of charge.

Our Annual Partners help us deliver these critical services all year long. Their support provides hundreds of children and families throughout the year with the strength, courage, hope and love needed during the most difficult days of their lives.

Are you interested in becoming an Annual Partner and supporting hundreds of children and families in need? Please contact Sue Nigra, Director of Development, at (518) 438-2655 to discuss partnership opportunities.

Partner Benefits

In addition to helping families in need, annual partners enjoy a myriad of benefits including recognition at four signature events throughout the year. Learn more about each event slated for 2021 below:

Radiothon January 2021In 2021, the RMHC-CR Radiothon, presented by Capital Bank and Albany Broadcasting, will celebrate its 20th anniversary! This two-day event — held annually in late January — is our biggest fundraiser of the year, typically bringing in more than $100,000 to support children and families! Radiothon sponsors enjoy extensive benefits, including frequent on-air mentions on Albany Broadcasting’s family of stations.

39 Years of Love

39 Years of Love June 2021The Albany Ronald McDonald House first opened its doors on June 30, 1982. Since then, countless children have celebrated birthdays, recoveries and other special moments at “The House That Love Built.” In 2021, we will celebrate 39 Years of Love with a month-long campaign building up to the 39 Years of Love Parade! Sponsors will be recognized throughout the month of June, and will play a prominent role in the main event.

Rainbow READ Run

Rainbow Read Run September 2021READ for RMHC-CR is a unique, reading-based service program for local elementary and middle school students. For the first time in 2021, we are introducing a new event to support this program and the hundreds of students who participate each year! The Rainbow READ Run will be a colorful, family-friendly fun run that celebrates the joy of reading and raising funds for children and families in need. Sponsors will be featured in all promotions and day-of event materials.

Holding Hands, Holding Hearts

Holding Hands Holding Hearts November 2021Our re-imagined Holding Hands, Holding Hearts event will be held virtually in 2020, allowing us to continue to raise critical funds for the mission of RMHC-CR in the face of COVID-19. Due to continuing uncertainty regarding the pandemic, the format of our 2021 celebration remains to be determined. Whether the event is held virtually or in-person, sponsors will have a strong presence and receive substantial visibility benefits.

Other benefits include partner recognition online and in print, as well as exclusive events and opportunities for company representatives. Please contact Sue Nigra at (518) 438-2655 or email snigra@rmhcofalbany.org to discuss all benefits and partnership options.
