Family Support Specialist (FSS) Part-Time – Family Retreat

Reports to Director of Community Service Programs

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR) is recruiting for a Part-Time Family Support Specialist (FSS) for the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat at Krantz Cottage in Lake George. The Family Retreat provides a peaceful, supportive setting where families experiencing serious childhood illness can enjoy being together, making lasting memories.

The part-time FSS is primarily responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the environment in the Cottage as well as providing support for full-time FSS in welcoming families. Responsibilities include following cleaning protocols established to reduce the spread of infectious disease, washing/drying all linens, bedding, towels, and general presentation of the cottage.

This is a non-exempt part-time position reporting directly to the Director of Community Service Programs. Schedule varies and includes 8 hours on Monday based upon family visit schedules. Applicants living in the Lake George area are preferred.

Part Time Housekeeper

Reports to Director of Operations

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region is seeking a Part Time Housekeeper. In the absence of regular housekeeping staff, and/or on an as needed basis, this housekeeping team member will clean and maintain Ronald McDonald House buildings & grounds. Areas include, and are not limited to, kitchens, bathrooms, dining room, laundry room, arcade room, playrooms, bedrooms and office areas. The Director of Operations and House Director will advise team member of tasks for each shift. This position will be on an on-call basis, with a minimum of two 4-hour shifts per month.

Weekend Manager

Reports to House Director

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region is seeking a part time Weekend Manager to provide coverage of Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room operations from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The Weekend Manager will be required to be on site at the Ronald McDonald House or Ronald McDonald Family Room, with a minimum of 2 hours of their daily shift at the Family Room or Suite. The Weekend Manager reports to the House Director. They will work with the Volunteer Director, who will administer appropriate and thorough training and updates. The Weekend Manager may be needed to spend an occasional overnight in the House in furnished quarters.
