A pull tab is the piece of metal that opens aluminum cans. Like the can, the pull tab can be recycled and redeemed for cash. It is a small yet valuable item!

We work with a local recycler to redeem pull tabs for money that helps us provide services for families with seriously ill or injured children. You can collect pull tabs on your own at home, or collect them with a group at school, at work, or anywhere else you can think of! Thousands of dollars are raised each year when people Pull Together!

The amount of money we receive when we recycle pull tabs and bottle caps is determined by the total weight of the tabs we redeem and the current redemption value. All funds raised from our recycling efforts support the children and families served by RMHC-CR.

Pull tabs are easy to remove and store, and they’re much cleaner to collect than empty cans. Plus, with pull tabs we can handle large volumes of donations with much less storage space.
