Now that the Pella Hope at Work contest has come to a close, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who voted in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR).

While the official winner is expected to be announced around September 1, our latest check of the votes showed RMHC-CR in 4th place out of 26 finalists with nearly 9,000 total votes. Regardless of the final results, we are thrilled with this outcome and grateful for all the support we received from our community over the last three weeks!

Of course we would have loved to win the $50,000 prize. Fortunately, we are finding other ways to sustain our mission in the face of COVID-19. Generous donors, volunteers and community partners are stepping up daily to help us meet the continued demand for RMHC-CR services. Being featured in the Hope at Work contest gave us new opportunities to share our story and gain support. It also helped us connect with lots of people who are passionate about our work.

If you’re one of the many friends of RMHC-CR who spent the last few weeks casting votes in our favor, please know how much we appreciate your support! Now that the contest is over, we hope you’ll consider some other ways to get involved.
