Wow! 2020 has been an incredible year, and we are only half way through.
I joined Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR) at the beginning of the year and was instantly impressed with the organization’s impact and stories from guest families, volunteers, employees, and members of the Board of Directors. With a mission that draws on the compassion of our community to deliver programs that directly improve the well-being of children and families, RMHC-CR extends love to every family facing needs for professional care.

What a privilege it is to work in close partnership with the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med to support families through our Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room programs. I also want to thank St. Peter’s Health Partners Dental Center for their outstanding work with the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.
All three of our core programs have been significantly affected by the unique challenges of 2020. With the support of our Board, RMHC-CR is committed to ensuring that every family need we face this year is addressed. To that end, we have incurred significant expenses to provide hotel accommodations, meals, and other assistance to families throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Please consider making a donation to support the added costs, and explore other ways to get involved and share your love with children and families.
Every day I have the opportunity to hear a new story from a family dealing with serious health challenges. By meeting their most basic needs, RMHC-CR allows each family to focus on what matters most, the health of their child. I am thrilled to be a small part of that process and to share our story with you.
