SCOTIA, N.Y. – Guan Ho Ha Fish & Game Club in Scotia, NY, held its 6th Annual Kids & Clays Open on Saturday, September 7, 2024, and raised a remarkable $113,725 to support critically ill children and their families. Net proceeds from the popular sporting clay event are divided between Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR) and the Kids & Clays Foundation, which supports participating RMHC® chapters nationwide. Since its inception in 2019, the Kids & Clays Open has raised $501,465 for the two organizations combined.

On December 11, 2024, RMHC-CR CEO Kimmy Venter visited the Guan-Ho-Ha Fish & Game Club, where its members presented RMHC-CR a check for $57,500 representing proceeds from the September event.

“We could not be more grateful for the support we receive from the Kids & Clays Open at Guan-Ho-Ha,” said Venter. “In addition to raising critical funds that help us deliver our programs and services at absolutely no cost to families, this event allows us to connect with our community and share our mission with more and more people every year.”

“For six years now, Guan-Ho-Ha club members and guests have come together to make the Kids & Clays Open a huge event with huge impact,” said Steve Paige, one of the event founders. “We’re proud to see this event grow year after year to make a truly meaningful difference for families with sick children.”

Participants and guests of the 6th Annual Kids & Clays Open enjoyed a day of sporting clays, as well as dinner, a silent auction, raffles, and more. Guan Ho Ha Fish & Game Club is grateful to all who participated and sponsored the event, as are RMHC-CR and the Kids & Clays Foundation.
