27 Feb RMHC-CR Receives Support from 4th Annual Kids & Clays Open
SCOTIA, N.Y. – Guan Ho Ha Fish & Game Club in Scotia, NY, held its 4th Annual Kids & Clays Open on Saturday, September 10, raising a remarkable $92,467 to support critically ill children and their families. Net proceeds from the popular sporting clay event were divided evenly between Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR) and the Kids & Clays Foundation, which supports participating RMHC® chapters nationwide. Since its inception in 2019, the Kids & Clays Open has raised more than $273,000 for the two organizations combined.
“We are very proud of the way that Guan-Ho-Ha club members and guests have come together to make the Kids & Clays Open a huge event with huge impact,” said Steve Paige, one of the event founders. “We’re happy to be able to make a difference for families with sick children both through the Kids & Clays Foundation and with direct support for our local Ronald McDonald House Charities.”
“The Kids & Clays Open generates so much goodwill and generosity for the children and families we serve,” said David Jacobsen, CEO, RMHC of the Capital Region. “RMHC of the Capital Region received more than $46,000 from the 2022 event, making it one of our biggest community fundraisers of the year. We are grateful to everyone involved in the Kids & Clays Open for helping us deliver critical programs and services at absolutely no cost to families as their children face serious illnesses and injuries.”
The 4th Annual Kids & Clays Open drew more than 185 participants and guests who enjoyed a day of shooting with 100 sporting clay targets, as well as dinner, a silent auction, raffles, and more. Guan Ho Ha Fish & Game Club is grateful to all who participated and sponsored the event, as are RMHC-CR and the Kids & Clays Foundation.
“We are certainly honored to work with the outstanding volunteers of the Guan Ho Ha club to put on such a great event for a great cause,” said Doug Jeanneret, Executive Director of the Kids & Clays Foundation. “The funds raised will help thousands of families in the Capital Region as well as in locales across the country at a time when they need it the most. We thank the Guan Ho Ha club and its volunteer leaders, the generous sponsors, and the leaders and volunteers from RMHC of the Capital Region for all of their support.”
