About the Author: Amber Bradbury is the author of If Grandma Were Here and If Grandpa Were Here, two multigenerational picture books that explore love, loss, and connection across cultures and generations. Written for younger children but widely embraced as “books for everyone,” her stories offer gentle ways to honor memories and family. Amber’s work has received professional editorial reviews from Kirkus Reviews and Publishers Weekly. If Grandma Were Here also received a notable endorsement from Twila C. Liggett, creator and executive producer of Reading Rainbow, who shared, “Had If Grandma Were Here been available during the 23+ years of Reading Rainbow, it would have been selected as one of our feature books.” Amber holds a certificate in Bereavement Studies and is also an Elder Care Manager, which informs her understanding of family systems, intergenerational relationships, and the lasting impact of compassionate storytelling.
