About the Author: Find Me in Saratoga is Patrice Mastrianni’s first book. She has a Studio Art degree and has been an educator for many years. She taught Art at Sacred Heart School in Troy and Saratoga Central Catholic School. Patrice owned Creative Sparks Pottery in Saratoga Springs and provided many classes to WSWHE BOCES. She was inspired to write this book because she felt that it would provide an entertaining way for children to learn local history.

Book titles/intended audience: Find Me in Saratoga (ages 7 and up)

Presentations available for:
Elementary School (grades PK-5); Middle School (grades 6-8)

Type of visit(s) available: In person

Visit details: Depending on the number of classes and ages, programs range from 1-2 hours. I would do a brief reading and students would do learning activities such as potato printing for Native baskets, secret letter techniques used during the Revolutionary War, or design a home using architectural styles found in Saratoga.

Read for RMHC discounted visit fee: Workshop fees vary based on ages and materials needed. For school programs listed above, $5/child with a minimum of $125. If 3 or more sessions are requested in one visit, there would be an additional discount.

Availability: Available to do school readings and creative activities within an hour’s drive of Saratoga Springs.

Travel fees: Over 45 minutes from Saratoga would pay a $25 travel fee.
