About the Author: Best friends since age thirteen, sisters-in-law Niamh Schmid and Rebecca Schmid have been writing together since they were kids. The worlds of their combined imaginations evolved over the years, resulting in several full-length novels spanning the genres of fantasy, steampunk, and sci-fi. Both Niamh and Rebecca live in upstate NY where they work as professional pianists. They enjoy a variety of hobbies such as art, composition, archery, horse riding–all of which find their way into their books.

Visit Details: Talking about how we got started with our writing journey, and how our method of co-authoring works. Explaining the premise of one/some of our books. A brief reading of one of our books. Questions & Answers. Book signing, if desired. 30-60 minutes, depending on what the school chooses.
Read for RMHC discounted visit fee: Visits are free for schools within 25 miles of Cobleskill, NY. $150 fee for schools further than 25 miles from Cobleskill.
Availability: Once a month, up to 40 miles from Cobleskill, NY
Notice required for scheduling: 1 month.

Additional Paid services available: Story-building Workshop: We will talk about our process of building a story, perform a demonstration with the students’ participation, and then assist the students in coming up with a story idea of their own. 30-60 minutes, depending on what the school chooses. Fee of $100. Requires students to have writing materials.
